Le vent nous portera

There are two things children should receive from their parents: roots and wings.
                                                                                          (J. W. von
Goethe, Faust I)

Le vent nous portera... is a choreographic research project for a trumpet player and five dancers.
The project begins with a reflection on the basic experiences of family life, reexamining our primary goodwill towards others, our fundamental trust in life itself, and the unbridled energy that drives us forward in the pursuit of our goals.

Premiere:
1 February 2012, Dampfzentrale Bern, Festival Heimspiel

With Hearty Playfulness, Der Bund, 3.2.12, Regula Fuchs
“The öff öff dance company may be flying a bit lower than they usually do, but they’re in top form.... Instead of being merely an occasion to show off, the climbing sequences become a form of tenderly vertiginous choreography which advances the thematic development of the piece.... [A] virtuosic and beautiful way of standing the typical logic of a dance piece on its head.”

The Heroes of Aerial Dance Are Gone with the Wind, Berner Zeitung, 3.2.12, Anne-Sophie Scholl

“The company defies the rules of what’s technically possible and obeys an aesthetic of perfection.”
